Similarly my experience in an i3 was short, but I just remember thinking “is this really a BMW?”. Maybe it was a difference in expectations, but the Volt actually felt like a normal car I could drive and use, where the i3 felt more like a hipster statement that conditionally worked as a car for some purposes.

You say this because they give you the least commission??

Maybe you haven’t sat in an i3. Personally I feel the i3's interior is ugly and cheap. Granted it is that way to be light, but still feels much worse than the Bolt IMO.

The giant lever and $1k price tag seem a bit much for what essentially is an electronic switch with a program piped in through a USB port.
I feel like a drift button for $100 would be a lot more appropriate.

Think harder. (IMO) The Chevy Bolt and Volt are much more well rounded cars in the same price range.

Ehh, no...Almost all 4-cylinders are cross plane crank, and none that I have heard so far sound as good as a Ferrari or GT350R. Most don’t even sound good at all.

Gee, who could have predicted that a $150k hybrid 3-cyl car with the performance of a $35k car and the extended highway fuel mileage of a 6.2L V8 Corvette would sell poorly?

It’s not so much that they are bad, as they aren’t really good. Reliability aside they are about the most boring cars to drive in the segment...or at least that was the case in 2009 when I drove every midsize car.

Occasionally FB allows Toyota to target me with a Camry post (add), and in looking at the comments I can indeed tell you that many of the repeat Camry buyers are impressed with it’s performance. Granted none of them have ever actually driven anything else...

5th Gear: No, to beat the Germans you must put more emphasis on interior quality and initial quality. That is really the only advantage German cars have left. They suffer for it in price, and in most cases long term reliability.

While I get that some people are overly sensitive to imperfections, based on your writing I don’t see that this guy ever had an actual failure with his Tesla. Quality issues yes, but the car never broke down, nor did any feature ever fail to work.
While there is some substance here, it really feels like someone who is

No not really. As high and mighty as many Jalopnik posters like to be, I’ve never in my life met a car enthusiast who’s never done at least some on the spot street racing. For the most part street racing is stupid and bad, but once in a while on a clear street I’ll give someone a gear or two. My wife also has an

Well yes in theory. But quite often you’d rather not let that F150 go brag to his friends how he beat up on your sports car, and the road ahead is clear, and your car is slow enough it shouldn’t really be considered racing anyway...so yo go ahead.

“Why are you trying to race Ecoboost F150s anyway?” It’s probably the other way around.

I just don’t get all the “it doesn’t NEED more power” people.
Well fine, no one is going to take away your base model, but clearly many of us want a more powerful option.
And to the “just buy something else” crowd, well the selections are fairly limited. The Miata is a good option but it’s a 2 seater. Nothing right now

Ahh, Japan. So much disappoint.
Lacking all the sports cars we were expecting, Honda has this nice looking sports car under a cover...could it be an S2000? Nope just a robot looking EV. Nissan gonna redesign the ancient Z? Nope. Last year I don’t even think they bothered bringing a standard 370Z to Detroit.

I agree...I like the LC500, but the design doesn’t look good on most of the others, especially this new car.

That was my guess...kinda sad though IMO.

LOL, must have skimmed the last bit of your OP there.

Magnetic suspension helps both handling and make the ride smoother on a daily basis. I think it’s one of the most valuable options on the Camaro’s right now, and the Mustang will likely be much better for it as well.
