It appears that he never hit the brakes, so I’m inclined to believe he wasn’t paying attention.

I hope you’re being sarcastic about the “random car guy” part.

Where is this road so I can go there?

You do realize that not only will this perform just like any other economy car, but it’s supposed to also do well in crash tests. Weather that happens remains to be seen, but it was one of the promises in design.

Don’t be such a dick.
This is Trumps chance to actually meet one of his promises (for a change) and help promote an American company that will create American jobs.

Well I was going to suggest a Flex, which is about the best 3-row hauler short of a Model X, but the problem is the middle row seat needs to fold down to get in the back, which is easy as it does it with the push of a button, but will not work...at all...if you have a large child seat belted in there.
So what you need

I know, but there are certainly other countries in Europe and such that don’t care as much.

Here is what I don’t get about this. How does Honda justify building a completely new platform for such a small market, yet can’t or won’t build a car the whole world has been asking for like a new S2000?
Hell Subaru won’t even add a freaking turbo to the BRZ.

Also why won’t they ship these to any other country that

I feel like most of the heat he is talking about would come from the friction of the piston rings and bearings in the engine. Which always exist while the engine is running, but that friction robs power (which is what slows the car down under engine braking), but in exchange creates heat.

I was actually talking about engine braking with someone this weekend. He has a Jeep with over 200k miles on a clutch, and attributed it, in part, to what his father had told him that engine braking was bad for the clutch. I explained this was only the case if you don’t rev match the engine (which sadly most people

“Modern cars are fast. Sometimes very, very fast. And occasionally even faster than you could possibly use on public roads.”
Are there any cars sold in America at all that can’t break every speed limit we have? I mean Texas has the highest at 85mph. Is there any new car that can’t do 86?

Personally I’ve never done anything worse to a rental than force a Nissan Versa to go 100mph.
But back in the day (~2003) I had a friend who rented a brand new Monte Carlo for a few weeks while his daily was being repaired from someone hitting him. He abused the shit out of that car. First he ran it on the drag

This would probably be an amazing deal...if every other Jalop didn’t go bid on it now -.-

Considering police can and have handed out DUI’s for people sleeping in a car without the keys in the ignition, this was very much a DUI.

+1 heard the same story when I asked about the abundance of scooters in NC.

That really depends on what the customer signed when she turned the car over to the dealer, and I’m quite sure it included a clause where technicians can drive the car.
Again...I get that taking it to a drive through is stretching the line there, but “illegal”? No.

Again the customer wigging out escalated this

Quoting yourself?

Oooooh I am excited about this. I like the design, and even more I like the engine and transmission. I always thought one of TVR’s biggest problems was they were wasting too much money producing their own engines, that in turn weren’t very reliable. Now they have a reliable engine and very strong/smooth transmission

I find it slightly reserved compared to older TVR’s. Still good looking though.
