Well I think your argument there proves the point that no one statistic, when taken by itself, is perfect. eFG gives us a very good indication of who the best overall shooters are from the field, but fails to account for FTs (as you mentioned). That's where True Shooting % comes in, or TS%.

Haha, all good. I didn't think you were trolling! Free Throws and Field Goals are two separate "types" of shot. The eFG would still be 150%, and then FT would be 100%. Free throws are not field goals.

I guess you could say that, yeah. eFG is adjusted to value a 3 point FG being worth 1 more point than a 2 point FG, similar to how slugging percentage values doubles, triples, and home runs more than singles.
