Who could possibly say something stupid about this situation? Oh wait...

Is this the "Beyond Scared Straight" Episode for Vodka Samm?

The Round Mound of Resound

He's just telling the referee what he tells Nebraska fans.

My point exactly. And Duncan's paycut helped this to continue. He could have demanded a max, as he deserved one (hell, he still deserves close to a max if not a max...dude seems to produce year in and year out), but he chose to take less $ to help the franchise. That helped them build depth, which has served them

And yet they're closer now in terms of competing for a ring than LA is, and will seemingly continue to be closer for the next few seasons. Sorry that you're a blinded Lakers fanboy, but what is your point?

Agreed, but he could also do what Tim Duncan did (who went from $23 mil/per to $9 mil/per to allow the team to rebuild around him and the rest of their core) and look at the Spurs now. Not saying Kobe should have, but it goes both ways here to an extent. All in all though, yes, it is more on the organization than him.

Weird, usually only see touchdowns in OKC.

There is a rumor floating around that Avisail Garcia slept with Prince Fielder's wife during the season, or something along those lines. Now I have no idea if that is true or not, as it was told to me by a buddy (although a guy who is not known to lie, for what it's worth) who says he knows some people who are tight

As is the $76 million the Tigers save

There is no need for Kinsler at DH when you have, oh I dunno, Miguel Cabrera and Victor Martinez (and possibly Peralta). With Iglesias at short, Kinsler will be fine. Additionally, the Tigers get to bring their best prospect up to play 3rd base.

Except...you act like Fielder is the same player he was 2, even 3 years ago. You talk about how it helps the Rangers' lineup but this move offers the Tigers' lineup just as much, if not more help.

Valid and fair points my friend, I will admit that. I'm in no way denying that Prince is the better player though. My point is, if the current trend continues (as it has so far in his career), he'll play well in the regular season and disappear in the playoffs. That, coupled with a horrendous contract for what, 7 more
