At least they are offering an external battery (no word on price though). [iamportable.com]

Same for me; it just looks gorgeous!

Man, this is like the year Europe gets revenge for all the times the US got games (or better versions of games) that they did not not. I'll stick with the US version since I splurged on an unopened JP copy of P2-1 with the card last year.

The energy suck (aka battery life) would be a hindrance in my eyes, though they could release an over-priced, extended USB charger cable for the PSV (too tired to look up the size of the power hookup on the PSV, but you get the general idea). Actually, I would be afraid to use it as a replacement/supplement to the DS3

Sorry, my mind slipped after I read "whip this thing out and join in with him" since I just heard a circle-jerk joke. I'm terrible, I know! I guess I should hit the hay and recharge my batteries.

Using the PSV as a controller for the PS3? Well, there you go. If people were not comparing the setup to the Wii U based on the previous tidbits of info, they will now (and yes, the actual mechanics are different but that's not what matters here).

I have that one, and kind of wish I could swap for the new one (like the new pose and colors better).

Nothing from TGS has me too excited yet (HD-FFX is not a big deal to me since the game is somewhat fresh in my mind; Kojima's HD remakes seem fine). It might be too early to hear anything about Monolithsoft's Wii U title, but hopefully they will show their 3DS game (rumored to be Baten Kaitos 3). I also hold out hope

There's always that tidbit from a conference on the compilation of FFVII years ago saying the compilation of FFVII would conclude on 2016 (or something...I remember the quote being in one of GameTrailers' FF Retrospective vids), celebrating its 20th anniversary. Since then I have always thought that if SE was to ever

Screw the peanut gallery! I know they have disproved of YsIII, the so called "black sheep" following I & II, but I have thoroughly enjoyed YsIII in all its forms. So yeah, just bring me all the Ys games yet to be translated (fan or official, non-canonical or not) and I'll be the judge of their greatness. (BTW,

Man, the reaction on Nicovideo when FFX kicked in was priceless. Plenty of excitement, plenty of people wishing it was FFVII instead.

Ys IV is the most welcomed announcement to me, although I really wish they would have went with V (with the hopes that we could finally get a complete translation of it via XSEED or Atlus). It is the only Ys I have yet to finish.

You have to do them all over again. It's so you can do the alternative sidequests on subsequent playthroughs (as in there are some sidequests where you have to chose to do one or the other and cannot do both, but usually the rewards are the same).

Now playing

Thought I would share one last Xenoblade thing with you all. As with any game there is going to be stuff left on the cutting room table, but this takes the cake. People have found what is apparently a whole zone (devoid of NPCs, items, and monsters) on the game disc that is as large as the biggest maps in the game.

The absence of scratches where the tetrominoes are was the easiest give away for me, but it's still solid junior-high (hell, even high school!) humor.

They are, but I chalk it up to a personality difference. The GameSpot guy just seemed so formal where as when I play any game I immediately test every button to see what it does and go through all the menus, be it RPG, Madden, Action (hey, I beat each God of War on Titan!), or shooter. It's like the thing how kids are

No doubt. I know the tables would be turned if they filmed me on my first play through of something like Bayonetta or any of fights in Street Fighter after any amount of time with the game.

I've been watching a play through of Xenoblade, even though I've already done my perfect play through, because I find it interesting to see how other people play through a game. In retrospect it might have been a bad idea because I am constantly thinking things like "why is he doing X? I figured out all these

I thought they were both pretty fun, but to be honest it was mostly the OSTs that brought me in. I got them both for about $5 a pop (was in Japan when I bought them) so I think I got good entertainment value.

I do, but posting the pic would be a major spoiler for Xenoblade ;) . Though I admit it may be more because of the the way the armor looks on ??? than ???'s character design if you stripped ??? down.
