Sounds like pretty a standard affair to me. The first Portal had little to no hype and was a nice surprise. Portal 2 is getting quite a media blitz and Portal 1 fans have been hyping Portal quite a bit. It's natural that people new to Portal could come away unimpressed with such high expectations. That, or these

Instead of that, I think he should go for Excalibur II. Getting to the end of the game (while collecting every missable item) in under 12 hours is quite the challenge!

Dungeons with 99 floors makes me immediately think of Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals. So that... unless that is the game you were referencing. Actually, even if that is the case, play it again anyways! It had such epic music:

I just liked being able to shoot your guns while running through a dungeon. It's surprisingly satisfying! I also remember that one of the dungeons relies on the PS2's clock, so if you've had a power outage make sure you reset the clock or you will be stuck (bridges won't appear). That little quirk screwed with quite a

I couldn't agree more! I do not care that it is for a hand held, it is still my GOTY right now.

Definitely pick it up if you can, it's worth every penny! My personal GOTY thus far

Just put this on speak up, but will put it here as well. It's Atlus Day on Amazon, so if there is an Atlus game you have been waiting to buy do it today!

Hopefully the execution will be better than the last Persona anime. P4 itself had such variety, I could see it going in a couple directions. I would prefer they go for a psychological drama over a harem romantic comedy (which is how I played out the relationships :) ).

So... where does this leave the vitality sensor? Surely they have created a new console solely to showcase its greatness.

I was just happy to at least think I saw the 3D effect. That's a first for me with 3D technology! Well, besides those holographic cards they used to have in the 90s. Anyways, glad to know the pushed back look is one of the things I should be seeing. Thanks!

It is one of the better JRPGs to come out this generation. Having the option to switch between Japanese and English VA is a nice touch. The battles are pretty easy (especially once you get a second machine gun) once you learn the battle system. The biggest flaw it has to me (as a completionist) is how much of a grind

I finally got some time with the 3DS this week. Those of you who have read my comments know I cannot see the 3D from the 3D graphics (dominant right eye), so getting some face time with the 3DS was absolutely necessary if I am ever to buy the thing. I asked for some gentlemen to get the screen to where they felt the

I'm most interested in hearing about what kinds of controllers it will use. I would assume it if it is backwards compatible with the first Wii (maybe the Gamecube too) then we should be able to use the old Wii Remote. That, or when the system boots an old Wii game it translates the new controller's inputs into the old

It comes down to empathy. In general the designers want you to feel more for the main character, so that you believe in their cause and the actions you as a player are performing. They do not want you empathizing with the "main bad guy" because then you might think "why the hell am I doing all of this?"

Well... I do no have any on me to microwave. Thank heavens there's youtube!

You mean you don't like awful tasting marshmallow animals that you can put in the microwave to make them "grow up?"

Maybe they took that starry background from the opening of FFVII. You know, that one rumored to be in development for NGP. (Not really!)

I wonder just how he expects a new console cycle to spark creativity (and sales). Outside of some new input device/interface for developers to work with to implement new ideas, all a new hardware cycle would add are more on screen effects and maybe faster load times. The former would lend itself more to creativity in

Seriously now, this is making "Tokyo Magnitude 8.0" seem creepy. It's like they knew this was going to happen.

By golly, what is with that penis-pulverizing chair design?
