@D Mitsuki, Gotta have guts kid!: The well being of America? The State of the Union has never had a profound effect on the well being of America. Did anything change last year after the SOU? Nope. Granted, we need updates on why things aren't working... but going past 10PM? Schedule the important news for when people

@Michael Dukakis: It's on at 10PM EST! Why can't the State of the Union be at 8PM? Why did Diane Sawyer, a terrible interviewer, decide she just had to do a 20/20? It's about timing. And, of course, there is the terrible ABC handling of new shows in general (anyone remember the Forgotten? Of course not.)

First it was that damn interview of the husband of the politician that got shot, and now the State of the Union address postpones Detroit 187. My god has that show had been killed twice over, once by ABC and a second time by Mr. President Chicago man. It airs like once every 3 weeks. Too bad, it was one of the

I think the answer to making another great Japanese, console-style RPG is simple: get Takahashi and Sakaguchi to work together again. Throw in Mitsuda or Uematsu for music and there you go. Just avoid whiny character saturation and they would be fine. At least, that's the complaint I hear most about Japanese games:

@relic1980: "Worst at retaining jobs" would be my state, Michigan.

There is a pretty interesting discussion held by Iwata this week. He is speaking with two of the biggest figures in the JRPG world. He asks Sakaguchi (of Final Fantasy fame) and Takahashi (of Xenogears/saga fame) about the times the two worked together and their thoughts on the state of JRPGs. Good stuff if you can

I don't mind the design, I just wonder how far those nubs flex and how much resistance they give. The one of the current PSP is quite painful for me after prolonged use. At least they look more comfortable.

I could not give ME2 my GOTY for a couple of reasons. It was hampered from the get go when I saw the Illusive Man and thought "why is the Smoking Man from the X-Files in Mass Effect?"

@VaultGirl: I'm thinking it might be like Amazon's Kindle that has free 3G. Of course, those files are much smaller so a data plan might be necessary for the PSP2.

@DarkCat: Not so sure about that. They fund the tech, but it's companies like DuPont and Dainippon that are in charge of manufacturing things. Kind of like how a lot of companies bought the panels to make their LCD TVs from Sharp. That said, the screen could still be less than $300, but they are likely to be the older

Never mind the "as powerful as a PS3" stuff, the OLED screen alone makes me think this will be over $400.

@FlvAvi: It might just be the way I was seeing things, but I thought it was a nice touch how they made her teacup & tea look like dripping blood. I had to watch it again to make sure that's what it was because at first glance, it did look like blood!

@FlvAvi: I am. Probably my fave new series of the season so far. At the very least, it will have the highest production values this season. Never thought I would watch a mahou shoujo, but this thing is just unique. Last ep was somewhat dark, which is a good thing. Just hope some of the predictions about the plot are

I'm still wondering if I will be able to see the 3d effect. I am unable to see the 3d effect with the current shutter glasses, and wonder if the glasses free version is different in a way that will let me experience the 3d effect. This might be the first time I actually have to try a system out at a store to see if I

But but... how will I enter setup if it boots instantly? I have enough trouble as it is if I don't manually increase the delay to boot time.

@Chicken Pawks: The odd thing is, you can get pretty much the same script for fem Shep as male Shep when pursuing Tali too. In Tali's case, the conversations just seem to end abruptly. She doesn't turn you down or anything (fem Shep) like Jack does, she just returns to her default dialog when there is nothing more to

@Archaotic: What you said about character recruitment is a very good point I hope more people will listen to, or at least think about. I know with ME2 as with ME1 the main story got lost in what occurred in side quests and character recruitment, but ME2 was primarily about the recruitment.

@dragonfliet: That's the only reason I bought the Shadow Broker DLC. I just did not like the potential matches for fem Shepard in ME2. Granted, I wanted to whore her out to everyone on ship, but in terms of a real relationship Liara was just a better character than the rest. The dialog between Shep & Liara in the
