I'm not really a fan of FPS's anymore but I bought this for nostalgia's sake and it was AMAZING. Best impulse buy ever.

I have rarely felt more immersed in a videogame world than I did with FC2. It certainly had its fair share of flaws, and I can see a lot of the reasons why people struggled to get into it, but personally I pretty much loved every second of it.
I don't always agree with you, but I can't agree with you any more about Far Cry 2.
Yup. This river.
squats are good
The game is scripted so heavily that the guard won't notice you until you're actually using your blade as Campo instructed, but even then, it's not really you, it's the game. You lose all bodily control as you plunge your knife into the man's neck, guards burst into the room, and you're positioned to run for cover as…
This entire game was one of the all-time best that I played. I miss it.
My favorite level of any shooter ever. One of my top 3 gaming moments of all time.
No surprise here. They were notorious scumbags on Steam.
I was referring to how they handle purchases and customer service in general. There's no reason for such a big company in this day and age to be using an ancient ticketing system to respond to inquiries. There's also no reason for them to not offer refunds. Yes, I do know that they make exceptions, but that's not the…
The ROF is actually pretty terrible. The Universal Remote perk is supposed to greatly extend the effective range while ADS, and my blue shotty still has better range. Even in PVE, you have to be right on top of someone to get a 1 shot kill, and more than 3m is more like 2-3 while ADS. Bad Juju sucks as well, but the…
There's two games in development. One with Nexon and one with Square Enix.
They get even MORE HD...
I agree. I tend not to let the hype get me. I often wait 5-7 months after release before buying and playing games. (Typically wait for games to go on steam sale). When nobody is talking about it anymore. When the hype machines, the Blatant advertisements everywhere, and the questionable money driven "journalism" has…
You also get to experience all the DLC and such (which sadly it often feels like necessary content that didn't make it in time for release). In the case of Dishonored, which you mentioned, it's quite important because it puts the main game into perspective. And seriously, Knife of Dunwall and Brigmore Witches are two…
Yes, yes. Yes. I got so tired of reading about inchoate kickstarter projects that were certainly fascinating but just unavailable.
I agree completely. You need to really give a game time to breathe and really LOOK at the game. That was Halo 4 for me. Midnight release, super stoked, played it for a week straight. Then, I really started to think about if I was even having fun. And I wasn't.
Ah, yes, the typical 'it's not my fault, it's yours' approach to issues that most adolescents, and those adults who still behave like children, take when something they've done is criticized by people. If they buy your product, and they are displeased by it, then they have every right to complain, on what ever medium…
"I'd suggest that no matter where the discussion happens, bad apples are going to pop up. Does this mean we shouldn't have the conversation at all? I'd rather just, y'know, have some good moderation shutting them down. I'm doing my best not to reply to the nasty comments that seem to agree with me, for instance."
