I suggested adding in guns only as a way to make the gameplay more interesting. If it's just "oh let's have some shootery bits," then that's not interesting. If it's, "quick, grab a gun from that guy, shoot out a window, run through it and leap to a pipe, discarding the gun," then it actually plays into improving the

or maybe just change the level design a bit to keep her momentum up? It's not as if the game's a parkour simulator. There's no need for cybernetic enhancements, yeah?

Like I said, the public test blew my mind. Honestly felt like the first good puzzler since Portal. Just got a gift copy of the game, so I'm going to give it a run once finals are over.

Why do you think I keep commenting?

iirc a doctor told me our sixth sense is actually electromagnetic fields each body generates. When we 'feel' someone behind us, it's 'cause we're having two fields collide. It's why some people are bugged by personal space things.

That gbb tag I linked in the above post is every article Kotaku's commissioned me to write. I link to these pieces on my blog, but I do not republish them there.

I almost did, because they're both games about flow, but this hit like 4500 words at its peak and I didn't feel I could bring that in with such a long piece.

DocSeuss, of course. Same avatar too. Just received a gift copy of the game. :D

Still sad we didn't get Music of the Spheres by Marty O'Donnell. It sounded incredible. Also, I hate the Destiny music that plays during the Valus Ta'aurc fight.

I couldn't even buy it for myself.

Make sure to do the bonus puzzle, and try to avoid walkthroughs.

Check out Far Cry 3's camera, which actually rotates downwards slightly upon jumps from specific heights. I'm actually trying to pitch an ode to the FC camera as a full article.

I hate that level.

It's the best first-person puzzler I've played since Portal.

It's the big secret to fighting them. You can't fight them like Covenant.

To me, that seems unusual. I track where the edge of the object is in relation to my physical speed to get a good idea of where I'm jumping. My brain just kinda... does it without protest.

The game's a lot better with a mouse and keyboard. There was a whole kerfluffle about this when the PC version released. It breathed new life into the game, which brought it a lot more love than it had had previously.

It's some of the worst shoot-feel there is, for sure.

Yeah, I originally wrote "four," but I was asked to put in six, which I think is being beyond generous.

I'm going to guess shooting or kung fu was frustrating.
