I can only imagine my w115 300D with a few thousand pounds behind it... 45 mph max after 120 seconds at WOT.

I’ve pulled 1200 lbs with my Fiesta 1 liter at 65 mph and it was great. Plenty of power, brakes were ok. I’d have liked trailer brakes for stability but it’s flat here in Michigan.

Pfft, you can haul a small trailer with zero issue. My 750 IL with the self leveling rear suspension would make a lovely tow rig.

Tesla has spent a ton of money with Michigan companies. We’re the auto manufacturing/automation experts.

The Q7/Cayenne, and Range Rover are all great trucks to live with on a daily basis. They’ll not destroy themselves off road and have interiors that actually work.

E Brake??? That’s what your right foot is for buddy.

Because rich old white guys still love them. They don’t care about the newest tech or a slightly dated interior.

It’s not about 0-60, 50-70, it’s about how the truck tows on grades and drives around town off the line.

I’ve owned one of these and a e38 750IL, they are absolutely designed to be daily driver cars. The BMW is the more reliable/simpler to repair vehicle but I never had much trouble with either of them once I fixed the neglect.

At most I was spending $250 a month on parts.

Maybe they’re palletized in dunnage so they can be (robotically) assembled? Throw a tarp over it and call it good.

Rare in the scope of earthy materials, sure. But we don’t actually need that much compared to how much iron you use on a daily basis. Once everyone has their 1,000 lb of lithium or so it’s going to be heavily recycled just like lead is today, even more so.

BMW every single day. The BMW is a much kinder place to be on a daily basis.

I work for an automotive company, it’s a field of classic muscle cars, 3 series, 5 series and a few classic Germans in the mix. The one IT guy with a WRX gets endless crap for it.

It’s not a classy car, it’s a great car, not something well heeled.

I just picked up a 98 750 il for $1500. For $6,000 I sure hope the SLS is sorted.

From the start the Z4 was in the GT range.

Why do people restrict themselves to cars in a 20 mile spread? It’s at most $1500, more like $800 to ship a car home.

It’s a pulse jet, it’s not a jet engine like you probably imagine.

This same style powered the V1 rocket bombs in WW2, they’re dead simple designs.

Harry Potter World just got a lot more appealing.

It’s Bolivia, south of the border the approach to dog ownership is very very different.

Used 750il ticks most of the boxes.
