It’s hard to get your head around at first but 45k is not a major expensive for a successful business man.

What? How? The Mk2 020 linkage is dead simple.

This is your fault, not the VW linkage design.

If you drive 15,000 miles a year at 11 mpg that’s 1364 gallons of fuel or 57 tanks of fuel for a Continental GT. Call it a short 5 minute stop and that’s 4.75 hours a year pumping gas. If your free time is worth more than $36 an hour this saves you money.

Where the cars are actually made is a very small part of the industry. The suppliers is where the bulk of the jobs are. I make fasteners, we ship world wide, even to China, and they’re all made here in the midwest from US or Canadian steel.

But my class ring I wear every day.....

I work with a University of Michigan engineer who wears his class ring every day. Yay, you got a bachelors in engineering 15 year ago....where’s that masters buddy?

This is completely incorrect in the US.

Where are you getting this info?

I’ve heard them on the street, it’s super obvious they’re turbocharged.

Craigy had no idea what he is talking about. GM got the pricing perfect.

Also, if you have an SUV do not run it with the hatch open. The same problem occurs.

About 1/2 of their antics are standard operating procedure in Michigan.

As a professional engineer this is a good thing. You are responsible for your decisions. Don’t do obviously illegal things.

The front transfer case is loud because it’s designed improperly and limited lubrication is delivered to the right side bearing. It’s even worse if the fluid level is low. I’ve had to replace several of them in trucks under 40k miles.

Some seriously over sized tires there.

I mean that’s every 4X4 with locking rear and open front differential.

It hauled a box of crisps once!

How many years?

It’s called money. If it’s pseudo proprietary that keep you coming back to the MFG for parts.

Wayyy too 90's

What the hell were they thinking?

Sorry but this will not hold a candle to the Goldwing or the K1600.
