My good friend drives her RWD 911 in the snow, it’s her winter car. She has a new convertible Audi for the summer time. Then the 911 is on track duty until it snows again.

All of the wankel issues are still a problem as a generator, why do you think that’d fix them?

Because of the demographic. Car buyers, specifically low cost car buyers just want a cheap car. Guys that buy trucks often want to promote America, American values and are often of the sort to have political leaning that way.

I bought a pair of Fiesta 1 liters, I was conflicted but I want to see and support (domestic) auto makers developing and bringing over technology like that. Would I have paid a a bit more for it to be made in the USA? Absolutely.

Oh God, MY EYES!

Why are you shitting all over what other people like?

They’re owned by TATA. I will not be buying one of their new products, sorry.

Ok it’s Geely, I got them confused.

It’s just one incremental step. Also people buying the Fiesta/Focus are less likely to care if it’s made in the US. Guys buying trucks are generally far more sensitive to that. Look at how Nissan is branding the Titan, that’ll show you the market desires.

So then the i3 is not an EV if equipped with the range extender?

I’m not saying the Bolt is leaps and bounds better, I actually dated a girl who did interface design work for GM, it’s that the industry as a whole is lost trying to integrate ipad/smart phone ergonomics in something that’s been honed over 50 years to be operated blind.

They’re completely incongruent with each other. I

If they can’t beat the Germans in the 3 and 5 series realms they sure as hell will not beat them in 7 Series/S Klass territory.

The ATS is on par if not arguably better than the 3 in my book, but many people disagree.

I’m a reasonably young guy and I still don’t like the massive displays be it in a Model S, a S klass or something in between. It’s a distraction. All of that information should be on a HUD or sent through as audio. I should never have to look away from the road to access a control.

Even a poorly designed 90's car

When’s the last time Detroit launched a new car and it was a year behind schedule?

This is their one shot, if they delay, delay or make a product with issues at launch they’re sunk. Absolutely sunk.

That’s all Elon does, it’s just a hype train. If GM or BMW blew deadlines like Tesla they’d be floundering.

It’s HUGE on the inside, it not a small car by any means. When you don’t realize it’s scale, the upright porportions give it a Scion IQ look

The i3 looks better in person. Have you seen/driven one?

We’re not all 20 somethings. If I want to buy my mother an EV she’s going to want to have a service center close by, a massive display screen does very little but confuse her and she’s not looking for cutting edge style. There are still millions of customers like this that have 20 years of driving ahead of them.

You

You mean the crossover buying public.

As usual in the automotive customization world it’s all show with no performance gain.
