I disagree. I know many of the country club sort and they’ll continue to drive their 8 year old S600/A8. It’s clean and drives beautifully. These sorts have yachts and aircraft you never see.

The dealer price for an engine has little bearing on the actual production costs.

I work in manufacturing, when I show up on the plant floor in a dress shirt and pressed slacks, or if things have really hit the fan a sport jacket and tie, people know I’m important even if they don’t know who I am and shit gets done. Period.

Should, should I get off your lawn?

Dollar per horsepower ratio at 170k? Yeah, you need to go check your math again.

When the Model 3 actually hits the showroom it will be just in time for the 2 gen/updated Chevy Bolt. Tesla really needs to be two steps ahead for this to work.

Hello, Mr.Elio is that you?

You know what your are not doing? You’re not thinking about the children!

But that’s already illegal. This is more needless legislation.

Are you rolling on low profile tires by chance? My work cars have always been relatively light econo boxes with lots of sidewall. I’ve not had any damage thus far.

That’s why so many people use an independent shop. I ran an independent VW diesel shop for several years and built a loyal customer base. Dealers don’t need to worry about loyalty, the have the OEM marketing and big glowing sign. You are in no uncertain terms small potatoes.

On what vehicle specifically? VW sells trailer hitches you know.

Dealer owners are wealthy people, the internet has no sympathy for the rich. That’s what you’re seeing right here.

They’re marketing to very different people even thought they are similar in price and likely size. Tesla is still not an established auto manufacture in the eyes of many people (right or wrong) but they know GM can build a car and will be there to support them long term. That’s a massive perception advantage few

Elon originally said his goal was to make BEV vehicles mainstream, not necessarily make profit. That said they’re probably not taking a total bath on it but just like the Chevy Bolt it’s not about profits early on it’s about product acceptance. Get them out of the niche green liberal only market and into something the

You need truck space you don’t need truck towing capacity. That’s just fine, but I’ve towed similar weights with my WRX.

It simply won’t let it keep knocking unless you’ve got a mechanical problems. This is not a car from the early 90's
