The Witcher just keeps on giving. In 30+yrs of gaming across all platforms and genres, it stands out, to me anyway, as the closest a single player game has ever gotten to perfection. I tend to have gaming Adult ADHD, and rarely see one through till the end before tiring of it, but this game still almost 3 yrs later…

Having a few says with it, um enjoying myself thoroughly, and exactly in the ways you mention ;) I would’ve preferred some greater depth, and a better cover mechanic like maybe The Division in Latin America, but that’s my only real complaint so far. Got to play for a few hours last night, and I enjoyed myself quite thoroughly. I was pleased to see weapon customizations beyond the cosmetic, and felt the environment was immersive enough to not to be as bland as described in the review.
