Neutral: My wife likes larger cars, so we purchased her a Ford Escape. That’s about the biggest thing I could handle and it’s only a little larger than my Focus ST. We picked that one because I love my ST and the Escape (2.0 Titanium) is based on the same platform/engine.

I’ve had (daily drivers):

Grand Am
Grand Prix
Subar

That’s pretty neat, but on the pricey side. I’ve got a ‘65 coupe with a Coyote, twin turbos, TR6060, double wishbone front, 3 link torque arm rear, 6/4 piston brakes, A/C, electric power steering, power windows, yada yada and I’ll probably have 45k dollars in parts building it. Now, I do my own labor/fabrication, but

If it happens before 11 on a weekend it’s legally allowed where I live.

Looks cool so far, but as Volvo itself is already positioning for a premium/luxury status, I’m sure this will be $$$.

Whatcouldpossiblygowrong?

Well of course not.

Hey, I WANT an Alfa. That is the crux of it being a bad idea.

I have a local Alfa dealer. Turns out they sell Alfas there.

Yeah, one of the companies I used to work with owned a private plane, which was a Cessna twin turbo prop which seated about 12 (including pilot/co pilot).

I flew into Gainesville for a race about 10 years ago. Small, twin prop plane. The stewardess came on the overhead a few minutes before landing and said “We have a strong crosswind, so the landing will be bumpy, but I wanted you to know your pilot was a Navy pilot, and has landed on carriers, so we will be just fine”.

Or softer and softer.

That is not how the 1st Amendment works.

Eh, I can do my own repairs, down to circuit level electronics repair (because honestly, mechanical repairs aren’t THAT much different from car to car). If you do all your own work and shop smart with things (because Bentley probably parts-shelf-shopped 75% of the common systems), you could probably own this for a

Yeah, I mostly run around with drag race/standing mile guys and they don’t give a crap what you drive or what is powering it as long as it’s quick.

I’ve been involved in two groups that take themselves MUCH to seriously.

Looks kind of Jaguar-y to me, but not in a bad way. If I was a much wealthier man, I’d gladly have one of those in my stable.

Agreed. If I could walk into a Tesla store in my town and test drive one, and actually be able to get it tomorrow, there is a strong change I’d buy one in the 40-45k trim.

If they can get it to that point, I will buy one, and be quite pleased about it.

I have a similar story at a local Chevy/Pontiac/Cadillac dealer.

Aerodynamics, for people who can’t make horsepower.

(yes, that’s a joke, calm the hell down).

I took my son to a monster truck show a couple weeks ago, and they had a tough truck event. The funniest was a guy driving a stock 91 F150 that launched it off a jump and broke it in half.
