Yes, but Singer (while crazy) does build things like custom carbon fiber bodies. If these Mini’s had carbon panels and some of the other Singer style insanity I’d be more apt to expect the pricing.

FWIW, not arguing the fact that a Singer 911 is crazy expensive, just saying that I see a bit of how they got there.

This is very cool, but why in the world is it 90k dollars on the high side? If a clean Mini is 15k, and then a full tear down/restoration is another 20k in parts/labor, and you throw in 20k in custom leather and such, then put 5k on top for profit, well, there’s your 60k. For another 30k dollars I would expect some

Hey now. I have a Focus ST and with my son and I (he’s in a booster and should not sit behind an airbag if avoidable, so he is in the back seat) + my backpack for work + stuff I haul around every few days is about perfect size. I can pick up metal for fab work (because racecars) or small furniture kits, etc. I had

I bought a hot hatch (4 door Focus ST) to drag the family around in. The wife has a Ford Escape Titanium (2.0 EcoBoost) for bigger hauling, but honestly there isn’t much I couldn’t just do with the ST. I’m 6'2 and 200 lbs so I’m not a little guy either.

This build is more Pro Mod than Pro Stock. It’s awesome, but it’s light years away from a Pro Mod car. There are cars dipping well into the 5s that drive 1500 miles on the street for Drag Week.

Not demeaning this at all, it’s an amazing accomplishment, particularly with that drivetrain. I’d be curious to see them

My wife had a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe. I helped her pick it out even. It was fine. Nothing more, nothing less. Devastatingly fine. A washing machine with part time 4WD.

I’d buy it for 4k today, seriously. 8k, no freaking way. With as many issues as that has, the best solution would be to bring it home, tear it completely apart and rebuild it.

Antron is a friend of the family and a genuinely nice and funny guy in person. He’s got some pretty good experience in the media relations arena, so I think he can probably act pretty naturally on camera for something like this and he has a million goofy sayings and smart remarks, so I think he could work out alright.

Does removing an N/A rotary and putting in a turbocharged LS1 in my RX7 count? It was, uh, transformative.

Shoot, I bought a Mustang for 3500 dollars (‘65 Coupe) and I’ll have 30-35k more in it before it is done, easily.

A couple of anecdotal example of this...

I dunno, I kinda really, really like it.

Were they charging their Galaxy Note 7 in the cupholder when they plugged the car into the Supercharger?

I’m writing a custom body control module for my ‘65 Mustang that has configurable turn signal blink modes based on “hold time”. Maybe I should make a 19 blink option.

Without getting too much into it, there was a modification to an aero support structure on a certain DP car a few years back that was worth some pretty huge benefits on high speed straights, yet measured out as perfectly legal when sent to the scrutineers.

I owned a 2.5RS (blobeye) for about 7 years. Nice car and AMAZING in the snow/ice/dirt roads. Good gas mileage, pretty decent driving dynamics all around.

I have Sync (Ford, the 2013 Microsoft made version) and it’s generally... okay. When you start the car it sporadically indexes the USB drive and takes away the ability to voice command songs. It also sporadically loses it’s fucking mind like a toddler on a pixie stick high and does NOTHING useful. “Play Artist

I’d like to drive the Mustang shaped thing in my garage that I come home and throw wads of money at each day.

If I come across an R32 GT-R for a decent price I’m all over that.
