Most stock style clutches in a bike are not very tolerant of good launches, I bet they didn't want to smoke the clutch. That may explain the rolling starts, too.

I’d like to see the first race with a much better launch on the bike. That launch was a wee bit lacking.

In fairness, launching a bike like that is like balancing an elephant on a needle after a drinking a fifth of Jack.

That’s a great looking car, I think they did a fantastic job.

Your self-importance and apparent view that your opinion is valuable entertain me.

Also, the fact that you can’t give a reasonable retort with an answer to the questions pretty well proves that you’re just being an arse. ‘grats.

So help me here, Mr. Pedant, what would a pilot refer to what would otherwise be called a strafing run but isn’t because it is only practice?

I am thoroughly aware of what it means. They did a couple low speed strafing runs on my Infiniti as I was driving on some empty areas of highway near the airport. Obviously they did not fire up the GAU. They actually followed me from the gas station about 20 miles away and buzzed me relatively low (I could see the

A10 videos do two things:

You could buy it, have the engine rebuilt with upgrades, same with the tranny and clutch, and still be in it for less than 60k with labor. Not bad at all.

Suspension is a TCI torque arm 3 link rear with coilovers, front is custom, based loosely on a Mustang II setup. Brakes are Wilwood 4 piston all around. Engine will be a twin turbo Coyote or 2JZ, Transmission will be some type of 6 speed, A/C will be Vintage Air, seats will be out of a newer BMW, it will have traction

I don’t think you could touch the safety of a new car, while not impacting comfort, for anywhere near 150k. I bet it’d take you a million+, easily. Safety is one thing we trade off when we build classics, for sure. You can cage it and make it safe, but there goes your comfort.

Sure. I cut the front suspension and shock towers out and fabricated a tube support system for the front framerails that ties back to the cowl, rockets and hinge posts. Then I made a new front suspension based on a Mustang II with improved geometry. Rear got a torque arm setup with subframe connectors and an x brace.

I hate this article. Not because it’s isn’t funny (it is funny) not because I didn’t enjoy reading it (I did). I hate it because it confirms all the reasons I’ve always wanted one of these cars.

You take this back, you take it back right now. I need to know this car was a let down and you should have bought a Prius.

I agree. I noted that in the post you replied to.

I guess my point is that there is an awful lot of fluff there, things made for the sake of them.

You’ll really, really hate my modern(ish) suspension/brakes ‘65 Mustang with a 2JZ going in then, right? :P

I want two, or three of those. Different colors to suit my mood. Man those are amazing cars.

I’m building a Pro-Touring style ‘65 Mustang right now and while it may not quite keep up with that thing, it will sure look a lot better and won’t be far off of it in handling. It will cost me more like 35k to build myself, also.

That thing is a way for a rich guy to buy a toy and spend too much in the process, that’s

Hey, those look like Focus ST seats there. I like mine, they’re comfy and supportive... I’ve done a couple of 10 hour drives in that car and not had any complaints.

When I sold a 2000 dollar transmission via the internet and went to meet the guy for the transaction, I brought a friend and a 9mm. It’s impossible to be 100% safe, but at least having two people is a good start, particularly if one or more of them are large (my friend and I are both 6’2” and 200 lbs, give or take).

I have some friends/family in that area and I’ll tell them to keep their eyes open.

This is one of the reasons I don’t like to go alone/unarmed to things like this. Two people are an awful lot harder to deal with simultaneously than just one. I just hope this guy turns out to be alive somewhere and this is all a big
