I obtained 2 of those before I found a complete set of the SC430 wheels instead.  Yeah, they’re very nice.

That’s why I specified a shitbox, like an Aveo.  I’d much rather be in a 1990 LS400, if properly taken care of, than a crappy new car that gets carte blanche because of being new.

I did the SC430 wheel transplant, but kept the originals, too. It keeps it in the same brand and finds a use for SC430s.

I was thinking this, but aren’t there age restrictions on cars for Uber/Lyft?  Very stupid rule since a low mileage LS400 is definitely a superior ride over a modern shitbox.

I read a fair bit about R12 to R134 conversion when I owned a 1990 Celsior (LS400) and I’m pretty sure you only need new fittings and some sort of flush of the system. Also, I had my own stash of R12 and could find a shop willing to use if without much trouble.

You may be right about most of it, but the ad specifies that it’s in Alger.

I bought a 25-year old car and one of the gas struts failed within a few months.  Well worth it to replace, though.
