I just threw away a long-form newspaper article about this. I think it was in the NY Times a year or two ago. Some of those details about still living with his ex-wife while she dated new guys were incredibly depressing.

The inside scoop is that this was actually a disagreement between editors. One wanted to call the band by their name. The other wanted to include the line, "Some of the members have even been beaten by Cossack sluts." They couldn't agree, so ended up cutting both words completely.
