The caddy they had in the video did not look like the bumper was too high, but I cannot say that for the rest of the cars that they grabbed. Other then looking like crap with those wheels, I can't see why that caddy would be unsafe.
My guess is that once you go above a certain size rim, you must increase the height of the suspension. And in doing so, you raise the front and rear bumper beyond the legal limit. I believe for trucks it is between 20-24" high. I am guessing they are trying to cash in on people that raise their vehicles bumpers…
