What does Ethan mean by current iteration of Playstation Network disappearing? Would they really wipe away our purchases like that someday?

All they have to do is hire more actors of color to play roles that could be of any ethnicity. That’s it. While it is important to have movies/stories focusing on the stories of actual people of color, it is just as important to just have a black guy as the lead in a rom com or have an Indian dude or Latino dude fight…
I minored in Asian Pacific studies and I remember my final presentation was about just how invisible Southeast and South Asians are in the conversation about what it is to be Asian in America. I pointed out that in the very course curriculum for the minor, we spent like months on China, Japan, and Korea, a week on…
::sigh::
I get excited for every version of this game and I intend to own every version. So good. Always. I love that little bit of editing they did in the trailer at the very end - the part where it cuts to each of the 6 principle characters along with the music. It was a cool bit of editing I’ve not seen in any previous CT…
Wow. And they even claimed that those that are protesting are pushing a sexist, racist, xenophobic and homophobic agenda. Like... most of the protests and marches I’ve seen are against those very things. This commercial is so strange.
I feel like we tend to lose more than we gain. There’s a lot of content but I recognize more stuff that’s leaving than coming in.
I just want to say one thing as a Kirby fan. My favorite Kirby game is Revenge of the Meta Knight from Kirby SuperStar. The reason is that it is the first and only Kirby game where he is treated as the unstoppable monster he is!
I had a friend who watched it in an entirely white audience and I watched it in a mixed black/latino/white audience. While talking about our experience at the theater, it sounded like my crowd was way livelier and more fun.
Damn. I was one of those people who really agreed with Killmonger’s motivations but disagreed with his methods. I really like this article for pointing out why his methods were not going to work. It makes a lot of sense.
I’m not black, but this movie had a really profound personal impact on me because I’m a brown immigrant who was born in a former colony. Colonialism had an indirect impact on my personal tragedies because my grandparents grew up in the colony days, and their choices eventually impacted my life.
I don’t know who that lady is but I love her. That was dope!
I totally agree with you and that is how I infer ethnicity in anime as well.
Not gonna lie, I hope it’s in the Declining Timeline where the original games and Link to the Past take place in. Those were my favorite games and they haven’t had new entries in awhile. It’d be nice to add some new games to that timeline.
I remember someone saying that after Sandy Hook, Americans made their peace with the idea that guns are more important than the lives of children. I feel like news coverage, public outcry, and policy decisions all kind of shrugged and moved on since then. Every time a shooting happens, we go through the motions but…
That’s the thing that really kills me - POC who really want to be white or associated as being white. I’ve known people like this who support things that are so against their own interests and they just become ammunition for racist people to claim they are not racist - “because that guy agrees with me and he’s not…
I’m pretty sure Klein is Japanese too, but man, I would be fine with half the supporting cast being non-Japanese just to see two actual Asian leads in a big production like this.
I would definitely advise that you need to play DDD or at least watch the cutscenes/read the story. DDD literally leads into KH3 and the plot revelations about the Organization and Xehanort are critical. You will be confused my friend if you pick up KH3 without knowing what happened. Friendly recommendation, my friend.
This song has that same melancholy, bittersweet feeling that was in Utada’s “Beautiful World” song for Neon Genesis Evangelion. With a song like this, I’m half expecting a breakdown of Sora’s psychological state and all of the supporting cast to get turned into a sea of Heartless.
