What is this ranking based on? It can’t be usefulness in battle because I can’t imagine a world where Chansey the stall-wall is worse than a Poliwhirl? How can Vaporeon the former master of the Wish-pass (now surpassed by Eviolite Chansey) be worse than a Charmander?

Kind of funny that a lot of people think Ash is a terrible trainer. He places in the Top 16 or Top 8 in most tournaments and in Sinnoh he placed Top 4 while taking down two goddamn legendaries. I think Ash could be a much better trainer certainly, but he’s far from the worst.
