5) I loathe every single Stan Lee cameo. Every single one - they're jarring, they pull you out of the film (in our theater someone half yelled - "hey, it's Stan Lee!", as if he is barely recognizable to people who go to comic book movies on preview night).

Actually, the smoke was black at first - there's a specific conversation between Carol and Mika about black smoke vs white smoke. Then later the smoke turns white (after Mika has passed), and Carol reprises the conversation with Lizzie.
