"The last we heard, it could have a version of the 2.5-liter turbo four Eco-Boost, which makes a lot of sense. The word on the street lately is that it will be all-wheel drive, which I'm okay with because demonic torque steer is a bitch."

We say this as Ford announces the new system and Jalopnik reports how everyone hates the current system. Maybe I am just old (and I am) but I don't have a problem with it. That may be because I set it and leave it alone. Use voice commands for making a receiving phone calls. Listen to my iPod, and that is about it.

I average about 28 city, 32 highway.

There is always this.

AUD - Australian Dollar

Agree!

Not so much as weird as WANT!!!!!!

I have to vote CP because of the price. I learned to drive in my Dad's 1965 County Squire when I was 8 yrs old so these have a certain draw for me but why in god would you do that to such a fine ride.

What is just an Excursion?

Bought a 2014 Escape 2.0T because I got tired of bad gas mileage in trucks and hated not being able to see around all the SUV's and trucks in my Mustang. Plus 0% interest, 245 hp, 28 mpg city, and seats 5.

I would have to credit the Aztek as first.

I think you meant to say "I'd rather be in front of a CR-V than behind an Armada"

Why should people have to turn in their licenses if they don't buy FIAT's

The Land Rover Evoque uses the same engine and trans as the Escape 2.0T. That is because Ford sells it to them. Part of the Land Rover and Jaguar sales from Ford included supplying parts and powertrains till they could source their own or engineer some.

Holy Moley! Glad everyone was OK.

Sorry to tell you but more CUV's weigh over 3800 lbs. RAV 4, Honda CRV, Chevy whatever and so on. Having driven Chevy, Dodge, and Ford full size trucks I can tell you that they can handle and stop as well as most smaller cars. Larger brakes, tires, and power steering make them very easy to drive and usually much

With Diesel selling at $1.00 more per gallon the extra cost for the engine doesn't pay off for a long time. In most cases it is after the owner has gotten rid of the vehicle. Diesels are old school because they still require after treatment for their exhaust to meet clean air standards. (After treatment = Urea= Pee)

Doug. I am sorry but for those of us who will never own a car even close to that I have a hard time feeling sorry for you. As a former mechanic, my answer to your tire problem is a tire plug kit. Not a cheap Autozone kit but a real tire store kit. sure patches are better but since the tire has already been compromised
