Ugh, been through similar scenarios before. When I see a meeting invite now with a time, place/conference bridge and nothing else that’s an automatic decline.

I completely thought you were joking until I read all the comments below. That is incredibly sad. Where I live (Colorado) the entire neighborhoods basically turn into a giant night long Halloween block parties with kids and parents running wild.

If I was in the market for a new Porsche or two and wanted to sample the line up before committing this doesn’t sound like a bad way to actually live with multiple cars day to day for an extended period of time vs. shelling out six figures after a 20 minute test drive.
Example: We just did a couple weeks in Costa Rica, First Class Flights stayed at the J.W. Marriot Guancaste. Only paid for our food and drinks, minimal shopping. Used points for Airfare, Hotel and Rental Car. Think we spent about $1100 total out of pocket for two adults and an infant.

I have this card and the Chase Marriot Rewards card (I had this one, wife had the Marriot card, now we’re married). If travel is the goal it’s a great combo. We use the Sapphire points for airfare and the Marriot points for our hotel stays (Marriot owns hotels everywhere including some amazing private resorts in out…

Rubicon Express makes excellent hardware, I’ve built up two XJ’s and used various Rubicon Express parts on both. But their kit springs are definitely not for a stock weight vehicle. Once I added bumpers, rear tire swing out, fuel cans, roof rack, hi-lift, winch, etc... it was still stiff as hell!
This sounds more like a lack of doing your homework than a fault of the kit, or lifts in general. With that said, many people don’t do their homework, bolt on an off the shelf kit and destroy the ride and handling of their vehicle.
You might not lose that big beefy transfer case lever as there may be a 4H and 4HL (4 High, Center Diff Locked) option in addition to 4Low.
This doesn’t surprise me. I just sold a 2008 FJ Cruiser with 130k miles for $23k.
I would like to see a more in depth article regarding the impact of elevation. I’ve always been told that premium fuel is not necessarily beneficial on a naturally aspirated engine at high altitude as the air is much less dense resulting in a richer fuel mixture and preventing detonation.
Nothing says practical like a completely exposed radiator and AC line hanging out the front of an “off-road” vehicle.
Not to defend United, but I’m not surprised. I’ve seen multiple wild rabbits die from shock, once when I was a kid and I caught one and picked it up. The thing just twitched and croaked. Years later my dog barked at one that ran out on the trail directly in front of it on a hike and it just froze in place and laid…
While I own many Pelican cases and love them, I’m not sure I need something quite that substantial for my day to day air travel. I ended up picking up the 3 piece set from Away and can’t say enough good about them!

The original FJ concept had huge wheels with low profile tires too. When it came out in production you could get proper 16" wheels. I am cautiously optimistic.
The FJ shared it’s platform with the Prado 120, and after 2010 the Prado 150. As do the 4-Runner and Lexus GX SUV’s.
As a Cherry Creek resident, I approve this message.
Interesting. I would have thought the EV Charging infrastructure in CA to be fairly robust. It is surprisingly dense here in CO and every apartment building I have lived in has had multiple EV charging stations inside the parking garage (My current residence has 3 dual bay chargers inside the garage, alas they are…
I’ve been in a similar situation with unreasonable neighbors, I feel for him, this guy gets my money.
