I did not experience any of the errors described by Kotaku with the "at launch" PC version. I did run into an issue where an area wouldn't load after a specific fight, but upon re-launching the application the issue went away. Overall, my experience was not tarnished in the slightest.

I have fond memories for the hidden Gems on the Game Boy. Heroes of Might and Magic II on the GBC brought me into the Turn-Based strategy genre. Even before the age of Sid Meier's Civilization, 3DO did it right with less resolution / reputation. I still go back and play from time to time.
