Agreed. I hate that game journalists called for the death of e3 over and over until it died, only to let it get replaced by Geoff doing his own ego driven summer E3 clone.

I’m excited by how its success might convince AAA publishers to actually invest in CRPGs again. Will the next Dragon Age return to its roots? Maybe MS will greenlight remakes of Fallout 1 and/or 2? We might even see Pillars of Eternity 3 or Wasteland 4.

I’ve never liked that dude. An industry shill only wanting attention and making The Game Awards out to be the biggest ego stroke with the only other person he is willing to share any ounce of limelight with being Kojima. It is cringeworthy at this point.

The fact that Larian won so many awards for BG3 was nice to see.

Very happy for Larian and Baldur’s Gate 3.

At the lan center bar I was at, I said they should of just called the award “Most Improved”.

This was the big “wtf, seriously?” moment of the night, imh opinion.  

I do still think it’s nonsense to put Cyberpunk 2077 in the Ongoing Game category, particularly when the only reason it was really “continuing” is that they had to continue to fix their shit, and now they’ve announced they’re done. Somebody really wanted to give CD Projekt Red a consolation prize.

For once I think I agree with all of the winners!
