After wondering who TF is "The Black Keys" and a quick GIS, they look very cliche "Seattle". If it wasn't for MS in the area, there would be a larger line at the unemployment office.

I was disappointed. I wanted the sweet unibody design a few sites had rumored with the slightly larger screen. I bought a 4S as I was hobbling along with a 3G, so the upgrade was substantial. Good looking? Yes. Practical? No

I was an owner of a iPhone 3g and my problem w/ the 4 was the glass back. I also don't like cases. It wasn't a matter of "looking different", I just think there was a fairly large contingent out there looking for a better design.

In retrospect, the iPhone 4S delays must have been iOS centric. There wasn't enough change (complete redesign) to the phone for the delay. So if it was simply not having iOS5 ready, that is the blame for the dismal sales prior to the 4S.

I would think the processor should be plenty fast, but I would have thought they would have dropped a 8mp camera in there as well. My biggest worry would be the battery life with that hawg 4.6 screen.

These updates look good, but how will it affect battery life?

I was one of the ones disappointed there was no new case design, but I also was on AssT&T with an iPhone 3G. Being that my contract ran out two months ago, I held out for the 4S and switched to Verizon.

A friend just picked up one of those replacement backs for his iPhone 4, but this one was metal. It looked really nice and was super easy to swap. Only problem is that his reception went to shit and was instantly remedied when he swapped to the original glass cover.

Was there a code name or model associated with those bad ass Nokia prototype WP7 devices shown a few months ago? If that was announced to come out this year on the big red, I would have passed on the 4S.

That's the thing, I don't like having to buy a case either because of fear of just using the product. But, I've already spewed enough vile and piss and moved on as I plan to buy the 4S and just replace the back glass with a metal cover of some sort.
