This video is excellent.
And Edie McClurgh! And Eve Arden!
It was such a great series, and not just a little subversive.
Sooo many things I love about this story (spoiler: none of them is that some poor dude got bullied):
Great question, I don't think it's been investigated yet. The paper does note that even languages in which writing appears from left to right use right-to-left facing italics for emphasis but...seems like a good follow up study!
That is something I always wondered. Especially since Mario is a Japanese game, where reading is done right to left. I didn't read the paper (lazy on a Sunday afternoon). Is there any correlation with the reading habit?
Can't tell you. Or, I could tell you, but I'd have to freeze you. Oh shit.
That's very kind, AnonymousCivilPerson, but I think Alec may have a wee bit of an edge on me in the dramatic sphere. Not to mention the whole on-camera thing. But then, HE doesn't have to contend with a heart-shaped birthmark on his cheek, does he?!? *(sob!)*
LOVE your screen name.
How can you ask that? I took a freaking selfie while holding a handwritten note directly addressing the subject of the thread. Google me and click "Images". It's me!! You can tell by the heart-shaped mole on my cheek, if nothing else.
Not to mention a man with more credits to his name than all the Baldwins put together.
And a Proton Pack... and he's a Tazmanian Devil. Not to mention the Human Ton and his Friend Handy. *Whistles*.... yep. I just (unintentionally) insulted my entire childhood.
Man I feel bad. I remember hearing him talk about listening to the old tapes of those Orson Welles commercials in his car on the commentary for The Critic. And I just insulted the man.....
I can never make it up to him. So I will take the only honorable way out
Excuse me, but I was born on March 30, 1958, and Alec was born on April 3, 1958. I got here four days before he did, therefore Baldwin is imitating me. And, by the way, when I do Alec Baldwin, I freaking well DO Alec Baldwin (See "Team America: World Police"), Massapequa accent and all. What I do in commercial reads…
Did you see the hate fest this entire thread devolved into once Mark gave them that opening? People love to hate. I sometimes feel that I don't like certain celebrities but this has reminded me to keep on mostly keeping it to myself because it comes off as incredibly obnoxious and more than a little sad.
Not sure. I don't really know who he is, but according to a post from this morning, he spends most of his time these days going down on Robin Wright which just makes me love him.
im 110% behind the pareidolia explanation....but what if because of that we find real fossils and dismiss the real deal because everybody saw obama in a rock on mars?
Terminology pet peeve time.
Article:
So Cruithne is our second moon.
First paragraph on Wikipedia:
It has been incorrectly called "Earth's second moon".[2][5] Cruithne does not orbit Earth and at times it is on the other side of the Sun.[6] Its orbit takes it inside the orbit of Mercury and outside the orbit of Mars

Guys, make a story about Lama Itigelov (Itigilov)! He's presumably in a super-deep anabiosis - buried in a box circa 1920s, exhumated in the 1990s, and still "in attendance" at the Ivolginsky Datsan, claimed to be alive. It sounds bonkers, but despite his caretakers' reluctance to let run tests on him, he is…
