100% agree with both points. Children of color are rarely seen as “innocent” of anything and in this situation I’m sure that bias played into the fact that the system did little to help him and his family initially.

Did you see the hate fest this entire thread devolved into once Mark gave them that opening? People love to hate. I sometimes feel that I don't like certain celebrities but this has reminded me to keep on mostly keeping it to myself because it comes off as incredibly obnoxious and more than a little sad.
