YES!
But how awesome would it have been if it had been Sweetums instead?
I agree with you. So you can feel vindicated as all the angry fan boys descend to attack. My favorite moment in the film is where there was basically literally a Death By SnuSnu joke.
For people who are saying "what's the problem, nobody is forcing you to participate." It's a larger issue. If you work in freelance media or the arts, people are constantly asking you to work for free or do favors and it's impossible to make a living. Even if that's your trade and only money-making skill. It's the…
I had read about Z and W chromosomes and forgotten. This biological worlds is so diverse and fascinating!
I think i09 did an article about that phenomenon. Can't find the article off hand, but it was something about determinism and how people's perception of you based on your name actually influenced your life decisions/career choices.
Man, that joke was ruff.
I'm guessing they're being careful with his weight because of his hips and knee joints. They're keeping him very lean and it's probably intentional to extend his life. Great Danes do not live very long. 6 to 12 years!
Can someone explain what the genetic makeup of the offspring is? Are they clones of the parent? And if so, how can the genders be switched?
No you're right. Definitely on people's minds.
Dark City and the Matrix came out nearly the same time— a little over a year apart which in film production terms is nothing. Both films were in pre-production at similar times and the scripts in circulation for several years before that. Thirteenth Floor and Truman Show are from the same period as well. Virtuosity…
Redacted because I pasted on the wrong level—d'oh.
I've read both Sandman and Fables and enjoy both immensely. Sandman's my favorite graphic novel series of all time. This doesn't feel anywhere near as magic based as those. It's more horror/speculative sci-fi. It's more of a post apocalypse thing about how tough it would be the last man on Earth with an entire planet…
My point is that, bar the lead, EVERY character is female. That's unusual for an action/comic film.
Take my sammich BMO!
Bingo. When I saw Death Proof, I was like THAT'S HER!!!
This is completely unrealistic. C-3PO is clearly a gold star bottom and wouldn't know what to do with a slave girl if you gave him the manual. Now if you gave him the Manuel...
Thanks!
However, I am of the opinion that a Sandman TV show on HBO (and only HBO) with Gaiman as a co-producer and occasional episode writer could just possibly be amazing...
One funny thing that occurred to me earlier is, that by default of the plot, it would be an action movie based on a comic book that had a seriously kick-ass, large, almost entirely female cast. How often does that happen in Hollywood?
