In doing so, you are either a) forcing players to do positions they don’t want, or b) You are not going to reliably have 11 on 11 football. Picking your position doesn’t solve either of those problems.

I think you’re missing the basic point that no one will want to block, and they will leave a game rather than be an O-lineman.

The difference is that in football, there are 5-7 blocking positions, to 1 QB and 3-5 skill positions. That’s not accounting for defense, which I think would probably work out better, but I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that the number of people who want to block are less than 50%

Here’s exactly how that will go.
