I mean, unless you have evidence that dropping the anchor caused them to hit the bridge (which you don’t because it didn’t), what exactly would you expect them to do?

Not try any possible action that, however improbably, *might* avert disaster?

Except they tried to. Shutting down the bridge was as simple as shutting down the entry points which are fixed points with direct communication via landlines.

The guys patching potholes were outside of their trucks on foot because that’s how you patch potholes. Stop trying to score social status points off the blood of

I would say online media has generally always been shallow. If anything, there is now a depth available that wasn’t available before when you know where to look. But yeah, “butts and boobs” have had their moment in all media. For instance, cable TV started, basically, as porn that wasn’t allowed on broadcast TV.

Everything remake/port Aspyr has touched has been hot garbage, and so anyone who actually expected a KOTOR remake to release, let alone not be straight ass, was deluding themselves to an unhealthy degree.

If you like something, stop worrying about why other people like something, even if you don’t like why they like something.

Their revival was the Weekend at Bernie’s of video games.

“Divisive” implies Embracer has it’s supporters. And...I can’t think of a single one? Like, Embracer bought a bunch of studios assuming they had a deal with the Saudis ready to go, Saudis pull out, Embracer starts sacrificing good studios to stay afloat, killing well established IPs.

I think it’s hard to rate Elden Ring’s difficulty, because the game gives you a very large number of tools that completely break the game (especially summons). Using those makes Elden Ring probably the easiest souls game (or at least comparable with Dark Souls 1).

If you play without melee without summons and spells,

I think Dune Messiah has been confirmed.

That said, I authentically didn’t enjoy Dune Messiah. The first 70% of that book is just everyone being suspicious of everyone all the time over and over and over. 99% of the plot happens in the last 30%.

He’s literally a central character of Dune Part 2.

Which lines up *exactly* with when he is introduced in the book (after Paul’s first kill, which is where Dune Part 1 ended).

God help us if FromSoftware ever falls into this pit.

To this day, with a high end PC, I routinely get 1.5 second “pauses” where the game just hangs. It happens probably once an hour or so. Game is on and SSD, I think it’s honestly just that they have a blocking thread somewhere loading data that just messes up the whole game.

Valve likes to portray itself as the big libertarian force in gaming, where anything goes (until it doesn’t), is defiantly pro-AI (apart from when it isn’t), and any number of other confusing, conflicting positions.”

> As for the security requirements, they’re not arbitrary. VBS and HVCI are both pretty important, not to mention hardware fixes for Spectre and Meltdown. All of those things can technically be emulated in software, but it comes at a hefty performance hit. The supported CPU list tries to draw an acceptable performance

> I know a great “right-click menu restorer” - I know a guy.

I know two of them. One can be found below the Enter key, while the other can be found to the left of Z

Wait, are you all suggesting that online popularity contests *aren’t* a good means of judging actual merit?

*gasp*

For me, Remnant 2 goes on the list. As someone who never played Remnant 1, I had a friend say “Dude, you *have* to play this.” And he was right. Absolutely fantastic game. Turns out looter/shooters can be a blast when they aren’t loaded down by pay-to-win bullshit.

The art department and level designers at Gunfire

Tales of Kenzera: Zau looked fantastic. But good lord, that was either the most profound, sincere moment of an artist bleeding themselves dry on the stage or the most cynical marketing I’ve ever seen. I’m convinced it’s the former, but it’s EA so you never know.

Either way, as a Metroidvania action game fan, it looked

I feel like nothing has ever willfully missed the point more than IRL Squid Game. Has anyone checked on Alanis Morrisette, because I’m pretty sure she just had a stroke.
