I find I have 2 problems when it comes to hobbies. The first is a lack of other people as one of my hobbies is tabletop/board/card gaming. Now that is an expensive hobby BUT if you play for fun only, chances are you can go in with your friends and share your collections so no one person has to break the bank.

He just experienced his first orgasm. It was brought to him by seeing a twink draped in an American flag.

But if they were competent then where would we put the dramatic and/or wacky background music?!

These are the puns that will save us from their tyranny.

And yet everyone tries it. Every time I see it on Chopped I think that about how it wasn't cool to begin with and that chef is going to get axed because the foam fell apart under the TV lights. We need a petition.

The Italians have somehow made a business of selling the absolute worst type of cookie. No one in their right mind likes hard, crumbly, cold, dry ass cookies. Chewy, moist, and warm is the only way a cookie should be. I'm not saying it's the mob that has done this but it might be the mob.

Aren't truffles over now that everyone and their mother puts truffle oil on everything? I think I'd rather have the ketchup.

Absolute best thing I've read all day. I can almost hear Barry yelling, "Take that!" with each piece of evidence.

While it doesn't hamper things every day, the office I work in has the same PowerPC Macs they bought in, I'm guessing sometime around 2007. They're loud and while they're decently quick, trying to switch between programs or just clicking on an email with an attachment could very well crash the things (it's happened

I think you've summed it up nicely. It's especially hard when you are suffering from depression and think, "If I just do what everyone says then I'll be better." You can't just "get over it" and the reasons why don't make sense to anyone who doesn't suffer from depression. So they think your stress and emptiness is

It sure does. Thank you, genki, for being the word with a definition that is mostly an emotion and not really words.

I do the same thing usually. Sometimes at Target I'll browse the stuff I don't need and either end up working the feeling of want out of my system or I get one extra thing if it's not too far out of my budget (last time I went in for a pair of shorts and some face wash but also bought a hat).

I'm so desperate to move on to something that isn't dead end but this market is hostile to people like me. Young (mid-20s), "little" experience (~2.5 years total in varying internships and full jobs), and in need of something full time with decent pay (not outrageous, just enough to cover bills while putting a little

Genki-deficiency-syndrome is the worst! If you aren't genki then life is not worth living.

I guess I don't have to update my cosplay... maybe? Unless Apollo's stuff changes before/after chapter 2. EITHER WAY. Very excited since AA is my favorite series.

What do people do when a non-religious baptism scene, which is a key part of the goddamn hero's journey, occurs? Do they decry that as well or is this case simply because it's fake religion? It isn't real, people. It's part of a story which is meant to make you think and consider what's going on, not cause a

This is why on my blog we review everything without a points scale. We outline all aspects of a game/movie/book and whether or not we liked them and any general issues we had. Then at the end we (usually me as my guest posters tend not to always do it) put up Play/Don't Play (or read, watch, whatever) based on what

My parents mostly used the, "If you want it, buy it yourself" method. Though considering my sister and I got no allowance and were too young to "go get a job" (at 9 years old you also have no idea what a job entails) we often had to save Christmas, birthday, and other holiday money. It certainly helped us appreciate

I think it's usually a privacy thing. Which, we've had physical junk mail for years and the practices for that are likely just as "creepy" (as described by the Safeway example). I'm also the kind of person who can easily ignore website ads when not using an ad blocker so I tend to just shrug at this stuff too.

I think you're right but I also think a lot of this stuff is pertinent to wage-slaves like myself. Knowing how the boss is by talking to the people that report to him/her does seem like a bit much but it would help prevent your move from one crappy job to another. I'm not really sure how someone trying to get hired
