Man, your friend sounds all sorts of crazy. The games he's trading back in, is he actually telling you that he's liked them? If he's trading in games he doesn't care for, then fair enough, but if he's getting great games and only playing half before trading them in, then that's all kinds of messed up.

It's hard to disagree with that one. That price tag, the poor first-party support and the absolutely absymal promise-breaking third-party support are all pretty damning. E3 will also be tough for Nintendo, given Sony and Microsoft's next-gen push (mind you, it sounds like Microsoft are heading for a trainwreck), but

Well, that's disappointing. I was really, really hoping for either this or Killzone Mercenary to see a Summer release date, and now they're both in September and October. Disappointing. Even if they turn out to be great games, nobody's going to be buying them now because of the likes of GTA5, Pokemon X/Y, PS4 launch,

Well, isn't it obvious? Bioware botched Mass Effect 3's ending and they're owned by EA, so OBVIOUSLY EA are the worst company in America.

Last year? Hell, 2011 and 2010 were also proof of that one, and yet nobody seemed to bat an eyelid! It's been a long, long time since the 360 was truly a games console. It had a fantastic lineup of exclusives in 2010, but everything changed that summer; Kinect became everything for the 360, and Mass Effect went

Man, I didn't think I'd be so apathetic to this particular announcement. It sounds like the story will be almost entirely unrelated, which leads me to quickly think "cash-in", and the fact that Rocksteady aren't developing it only makes me even more cynical. I don't know why they'd hand their biggest gaming franchise

Man, Mega Man just can't catch a break.

Oh, you're not wrong, but Microsoft will even have difficulties getting any traction based on the marketing argument, due to the likely high price of the system. Marketing alone can sway anyone to throw down small amount of money on the latest fad, but given the standard high price of new hardware, and the very likely

Eh, this post looks more like, "HEY GUYS, NOTICE MY GAMES!" more than anything else.

But I don't see any real chance of that happening, honestly. Microsoft aren't actually interested in producing hardcore exclusive titles. As far as they're concerned, they've got their Halo, Gears and Forza, and with the money that they're making by being Call of Duty's primary home, they're well in the money. That's

I don't really care about backwards compatibility, but the inclusion of BC could be the only good thing going for the new Xbox right now;

Honestly? I've heard nothing good so far. It sounds like a media centre that requires you to always have Kinect installed, to always have an internet connection to play totally offline games, it'll require a subscription just to play online and do basic things, it'll have very few hardcore exclusives because MS just

In the larger picture, it's probably a bigger deal, though.

I still struggle to believe that Microsoft are really going to take this route, they can't be that stupid, surely? Going by known facts and current rumours, confirmed by multiple sources, it's starting to look a little like this:

Yeah, I certainly hope for that too. It's been mentioned that it may be possible for the PS4 to "read" your disc, without running it, and then get you access to the streamed version, but we'll have to wait and see how it goes. Of all the PS4's announcements and mysteries, that's the aspect that really needs more

Absolutely. They've done well to catch up after that first year of troubles, but I don't think Third or Joint-Second was really what they were after, given the success of the PS2 in the last generation. It looks like they're going to try real hard to get that level of success again, and hey, given all the recent

I did notice the lack of Wii U in confirmed systems. I'd understand if it were PC/PS4/NextXbox, but the fact that it also has PS3/360 versions and still lacks a Wii U version, that's pretty bad.

Oh, but people will find a way. It won't be so bad if inFamous: Second Son and Driveclub make it for launch, or at least very near, but if Killzone: Shadow Fall is the sole big-name exclusive amongst a sea of ports, then we're definitely going to have complaints.

I'm sure there'll be some fallout at the start, people always have trouble adjusting. Personally, I haven't yet found anything to really take issue with, so that's a refreshing change! I'm not even sure I'm replying to people properly yet, but I'll give it some time before making any judgments. :)

I couldn't agree more. I love some of the new changes, like the personal blogs and image annotations, that's some good stuff! But it's the commenting that does it for me. I also love a good vertical list of comments with replies hidden, ready to be popped out. It's so easy to just scroll down and expand the threads
