Sounds absolutely fine to me. It sounds, to me, like all of this will promote enhanced real-life friendships over PSN, whilst allowing us to continue our online gaming under our chosen alias if we'd still prefer to do that.

Sequel, would be my guess. Square Enix may now be a steaming pile of shit, as far as their own output goes, but the one thing they've been getting right for the last few years is their Western-published games. Deus Ex, Hitman, Tomb Raider, they've managed to revive all of these franchises in fairly incredible ways, so…
Well, of course. The PC is king of all that, no arguments there! My point was solely regarding the living room TV space that's become such a rich battleground over the last few months and will continue to be for the next few years as other platforms and companies try their hand at taking over our TVs with free-to-play…
There's all this fuss about the Ouya, and the Steambox, and other little platforms promising to bring the magic of "Free to play" from Facebook, browser windows and mobiles straight to the living room, but I think many people missed the fact that Sony already did that.
Only in that you had to buy the game. It was never an XBLGold type deal where it was held back unless you paid more for it. The only difference now is that you can download the multiplayer game straight from PSN, for free, never paying a penny for it. You don't need to buy the full game at all.
Always good to see the reviews hit early, it shows the publisher's faith in the product. I remember when the Uncharted 2 reviews hit about a month early, I was surprised at first, but given that it went on to average something like 96%, you can see why they'd do it.
Oh yes, Killzone is definitely a launch title! They're hoping to get DriveClub in there too, but it sounds like inFamous will be a little bit behind, and that's fine, it's better to have it well-paced than a day-one overdosed where half of them get forgotten and suffer from diminished sales.
They are, stunning! I'd have a tough time getting back into 3 again, but I think if I were to play it again it'd be on the Vita anyway, so it might fare better on that smaller screen. :)
I absolutely loved the gameplay and the art style, it was probably the best in the series for those. There wasn't a single thing about it that I disliked, but my backlog was huge and full of more "instant-gratification" types of games that I could get more out of in the little time I had available. It's hard to keep…
Haha, I know the feeling. I got over 100 hours into Disgaea 3, then I slowly started to think, "Why am I spending hours and hours just grinding away for the next battle, after which I'll have to grind even longer for the next...?"
I'm glad to hear it's turned out well! After the last three Tomb Raider games, I just didn't think Crystal Dynamics had it in them, those games were short-as-shit, entirely unambitious and, well boring. Naughty Dog came along and put them to shame with their Uncharted games, so I'm glad that CD have hit back with such…
I liked AC3, but I honestly found it really disappointing. I think I actually preferred Revelations and Brotherhood. AC3 was just...Boring, at times. The story was just a constant stream of missed opportunities, ending in one of the worst endings I've ever seen, especially given that it was the climax of five games.…
That's hardly surprising at all, really. Sounds like common sense more than anything else. The jumps between the last few generations have been huge because there's been a lot further to go, but this time? There just isn't that much further that you can take "graphics", in the simplest terms.
I remember playing one of the PSP versions, and honestly, I had the same complaints. The lack of any story or real drive just put me off from the start, and the poor controls just made the core of the game largely unplayable.
I loved Disgaea 1, 2, and 3. I preferred the characters from 1, but the gameplay of 3, so Disgaea D2 sounds perfect. I bought Disgaea 4 when it came out, played it for about 7 hours but I also had AC: Revelations and Skyrim at the time so Disgaea hit the backburner and I never pulled it out again. I feel so bad for…
I don't know, if anything it had, like Kotaku said, a distinct lack of smoke and mirrors.
Sony have put Microsoft to shame with PS+ since they improved it back at E3, so it'll be interesting to see how Microsoft responds with their next console.
Absolutely. I think for a lot of people the problem isn't just convenience, but financial. A lot of people can't afford a launch-price console, so they aim to trade in the old one to get the new one, which obviously in this situation isn't really an option. I can understand that, really, it does make sense. But then,…
I don't really agree with that. If Microsoft do indeed save their announcement for E3, then they'll probably just come out worse.
Nope, 23. I do remember how expensive HDTVs were when they first released, and it took them a good few years to gain traction. The difference was enough to make it worthwhile, though, especially when they became dirt cheap. 3D wasn't quite the same though, it was less an upgrade, and more an optional extra. 4K is…
