That sounds like a terrible thing for a child to have to go through, but what a lovely memory of her voice. I had insomnia as a kid and during the summer, when no one seemed to care that I was out of bed, I also remember watching Rocky and Bullwinkle when it came on late in the night.

As an adult my sister is still creeped out out by Talky Tina, from the Living Doll episode of The Twilight Zone. It’s the only episode she won’t sit though.

As a kid, I had asthma. Medication back then wasn’t’t particularly effective, tasted awful, and had significant side effects. I spent many long nights fighting for breath, checked in by parents who tended my humidifier and their worries with regularity, wondering if I would die.

LMAO. I assume they meant to say “unusually shallow glideslope” but that’s too complex for standard media articles.

Add this to the “Christi is a huge asshole” file: we NJ state employees just learned that he sent a letter requesting that our July 4th federal holiday pay be revoked, since we were in the shutdown for that time. So we were stiffed for Monday’s pay, and Tuesday’s pay, while his bloated ass lay on the beach.

This must be one of the later ones. All that teal tells me it was built in the 90s.

According to this chart Saturday is hump day not Wednesday.

How much is the average American taxpayer funneling towards roads and bridges again? Just last October Congress transferred $100,000,000 worth of income tax dollars just to prop it up....

I don’t see asking for ice as a major faux pas, but rather something to highlight cultural differences. It’s a great conversation starter.

A block or two away from Paddington station.

I was over in London many years ago, now. My green ass asked for an iced tea at a restaurant, and the waiter was genuinely confused. lol He was like “I can bring you a cup of ice.” lol

“Tea should only be iced. If that is not an option then it must be thrown in a harbor”

The victim was Robert Godwin, Sr. He was returning home after having an Easter meal with his children. He was 74 years old.

Nearly everything I learned in third grade is bullshit. I’m convinced that we must’ve been using 20 year old textbooks because so many things that turned out to be false came from my third grade teacher. I specially remember the Portuguese Man o War being used as the most poisonous jellyfish in the sea. A lot of
