At first I thought this was just weird, the I remember when cereal boxes stopped including cool toys my sister and I stopped asking for those cereals. Neat thing was that my mother was never opposed to getting us some cool wind up toy from time to time, so we didn't associate the toys with the foods.

@bombastinator: Sort of. It's about structure. The silver is sparkly incorporated into the nylon thread, in this case 7% conductive nylon. It doesn't conduct heat well.

@sunspot72: Part of the allure was the haunting soundtrack/sounds. It's hard to remember, it was so long ago. That could have been the particular MIDI samples that my Rolland sound card used. That could have also been the cause of hte crashes.

@sunspot72: It crashed on me so often. I never finished it. I have been hopping that like Ultima 4, there would be a cross-platform or OSX port.

Now I can finish Ultima Underworld.

@theimmc: call-3111. Yea, that's what I thought. Memories of Apple's BASIC and MLX danced through my head. Perhaps some day.

@Snow leopard: It would be on the top of my list. Dr. Zee's ability to change shape from Cousin Oliver to some guy named Patrick Stuart was the least of the weirdness of that show.

It was the perfect mix of fact and fiction, of science and non-science, and of art and technology. As a kid it left me thinking the universe was larger and that mysteries could still be found.

@BaconCat: "I think the young people enjoy it when I get down verbally, don't you?"

" Always, ... No, no...never...forget to check your references."

It seemed like a commercial.

There is no way three dots in either a line or a triangle could be random. It's definitely evidence of planning or intelligence... or lack there of.

@Charbel Nicolas: Yes I do agree, but I am sure of only one thing- a dumbass shoots at the ground like this.

@coding_hero: Think beyond the U.S. and recent history. There are other armies and wars.

In every video that shows this effect, it happens after a ricochet. This makes sense, as a bullet if it hits obliquely, tends to parallel a surface after impact.

I looked at the close up and went, "I'm loving you piggy, loving you!" Then I saw it had nothing to do with Invader Zim.

Regardless of if it works or not, he has made better use of a his spare time than I have.

Best example of the old saying, "Round gets you down. Square gets you there".

Perhaps it's the Californian in me, but it looks to be solving a problem that doesn't exist. If one is in a structure that is going to survive, then the under a strong table, doorway, or likely anywhere in the house should be fine. If one is in a structure that isn't going to survive, then your screwed.
