The landing is the thing. That twin booster touchdown...you are going to be seeing that clip a long time from now, right alongside the stage separation shots from the Saturn V’s/Apollo program.  

I didn’t even care about work. I just watched...cranked The Right Stuff in my headphones and cheered and tweeted.

I don’t know why, but I’ve always wanted to see a movie based on Big Jim Slade.

It’s historical because we now have the means to become an interplanetary species, and we know for a fact it works.

I work with a bunch of people who prefer Home and Garden TV. I was able to get them to watch this and they all were impressed.

The simultaneous booster landing was gorgeous.

The two boosters landing side by side is what did it for me. Finally, all that crap we we’re promised on tv, it’s now coming true.

This is so fucking rad. 

There is a spaghetti western/ blaxsploitation hybrid called Take a Hard Ride, which starred Lee Van Cleef, Jim Brown, and Fred Williamson. It is not as cool as it sounds, though in fairness what could be.

Eh, I’m from St. Louis, so I already get hate for my Cardinals fandom, and my Blues fandom means I’m incapable of acknowledging ‘Hawks/Wings as great logos ;p
