Thank you for that link; Andrew Vachss is the MAN. Who would have thought his Venn circle and Diddy’s had any overlap beyond ‘carbon-based biped?

Pandemic is a great game, and the iPad app is very faithful. It has a great tutorial and eliminates the setup time. I still prefer the tabletop version, but when travelling, pressed for time, or acclimatizing a new player, the app comes in handy.
Intriguing, but I can achieve a similar effect* playing the DeadSpace series in a darkened basement whilst one of my daughters creeps up unbeknownst to me and claps me on the shoulder while asking “WHATCHA DOIN’, DAD? OO, THIS LOOKS SCARY, IS IT SCARY? HEY, ARE YOU OKAY?”
"See what I told you? A bit of wax, a little elbow grease, and you would never guess this car was in Dealey Plaza just four hours ago..."
I agree, there is never any excuse for sloppy workmanship.
I'm going to assume you don't feel too overtly manipulated, and say: Well done, then!
I remember flying on WestJet in the early days, and the flight attendant sang a song to us over the p.a. shortly after we landed (to the tune of This Old Man, aka that &%$*ing Barney tune):
This is a great film, certainly Tex Cobb's best, and you are spot on about the training, especially when Fred "Remo Williams" Ward talks about killing a sentry silently by jamming a combat knife THROUGH HIS FREAKING MEDULLA OBLONGATA:
No one is really sure; he just up and quit, with no notice or discussion, and virtually disappeared. Cheques for work already done were returned to Dragon's offices, which prompted another artist (Phil Foglio maybe?) to quip how this sort of behaviour usually meant the artist was dead. He apparently turned up driving…
I was just thinking about DAT and Wormy last week, and found an archive of the old strips: https://sites.google.com/site/wormycoll…
Reminds me a little of the Lawmaster from the recent Judge Dredd movie...
I can't bring myself to watch the video, but do they keep the "GOV" in front of her name even though she bailed midway through her term last time around?
Or it's maybe an acronym? Governmental Office Vacated? Generally Overrated Vacuousness?
As a guy who loves nothing more than playing wargames with miniature soldiers, I'm pretty conversant with blurring the line between 'game' and 'toy', but this is really something else. It's ridiculous how intriguing I find this!
I'm astonished that Supremacy isn't on here, despite how dated it is. It's like a mash-up between Risk and Stock Ticker, with nuclear weapons and laser satellites upping the ante. And you couldn't play with sore losers, because when the 12th nuke hits, Earth is destroyed and the game ends with NO WINNER.
Dammit, I was just scrolling down to write, "So, the 'marching band refused to yield', huh? Why does that sound so familiar?",only to see you beat me to the reference. Well played, sir!
Bad enough that you appear to favour capital punishment for car theft, let alone trying to bridge the chasm between that and 'took the family car without permission'. I sincerely hope you aren't a parent.
"There are many things from which I might have derived good, by which I have not profited, I dare say," returned the nephew. "Christmas among the rest. But I am sure I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round — apart from the veneration due to its sacred name and origin, if anything belonging to…
You, sir, are doing grandparenting right. Well done!
I concur, Fellowship in particular went from being a very decent adaptation to damned near perfect in my eyes with the extended edition.
I'm probably alone in saying this, but after how much I enjoyed John Carter, I really would have liked to see Andrew Stanton given a crack at Star Wars. Plus, as an experiment, it would be cool to contrast the difference between when the marketing people work with you, you know, as opposed to taking the word 'Mars'…
