I'd still like to experience TH:Ride for myself before I claim it a total failure, but £85 is a lot of money just to spend on something that is likely going to disappoint me.
I'd like to think this is the future, but I can't see it myself.
@James Healey: I tried to explain to him how that was how the Super Mario games were originally, and that Sonic isn't the grandfather of all the side-scrolling platformers.
I was showing a guy in college some videos of New Super Mario Bros. and he spouted "that's such a rip-off of Sonic!"

Quiet? I don't think that's it. I think it's more to do with not being as obnoxious. I tend to just automatically mute everyone when I'm online, as there's almost always going to be a loud American shouting nonsense into my ear.
