The movie is unlikely to get a hard look from the Academy because the truth is it was a good movie. Now pause. It was not a great movie. We award great movies.

As good as WW was, it wasn’t that good that Jenkins deserved a nomination for it. It was a really good action/superhero movie, but that’s about as far as that goes.

Good article and a good summation of Frank Castle’s character. It takes incredible writing and usually another character (as the audience surrogate) to skirt around the fact that he’s a murdering sociopath.
