I’ve claimed in the past to be a strong proponent for the game’s canon remaining true to itself. As Skyward Sword puts it, there will always be a Link that must save a Zelda that is imperiled by a Ganon. It’s part of a curse that occurs in Skyward Sword, and it’s a great sort of origin point for the franchise.

Currently no way to use the new feature in in-game macros, so all notes must be played manually. New PvP is fun, at least.

I bought in with Disney Infinity and was in for the long haul. I was apparently more committed than Disney.

You are a legend

There’s a change I can make relatively quickly as well. I could buy this game based on the aching wish that I had something as good and fun as the original Battlefront II.

Very true. My initial reaction tends to die off quickly whenever a neat crossover happens. Did the same thing with Ezio in Soul Caliber.

I was going to say, as someone who really likes XV... why?

Welp, so much for being happy with the goddamn Star Wars games. Lost Disney Infinity, and now EA is fucking everything again.

You are remarkably more angry about this than I am. Upset that they’re relying on gambling, perhaps, but not angry. I possess the ability to restrain my regularly addictive gaming personality and not spend money on the gambling boxes through which you actually and exclusively earn said coins.

You have a skewed perception of what’s earned and what isn’t. The skins aren’t an icon of skill or status, they’re luck of the draw. I didn’t get Witch Mercy by being a badass in Junkenstein’s Revenge, I got it by dropping ten dollars on the game for a particular event.

I have no problem with the paywall. I play a subscription-based MMO for that reason among several others.

There’s no reason those skins can’t simply be added to the permanent loot pool if it’s not free to play. A F2P gacha model has timed events to promote additional purchases. That’s what funds the game. I’ve played a few, dropped $20 here and there for games that were fun that I appreciated, and moved on. What’s

I see plenty of arguments against Nathan’s points here, but we need to remember that this is not a free-2-play game, and the timed windows are meant exclusively to build desire and need for the timed items now, rather than later.

I told myself not to click, but I clicked anyway.

Are there any other games that do this in a similar fashion? This is probably the first time in years I’ve been remotely interested in WoW, and it’s solely because of this feature. It’d be kinda cool to have something similar in other games. If there’s a feature I think should be copied if it’s done well, it should

You’d have had a hard time convincing me that heroes use trading cards to do something awesome before I’d ever seen this article.

Overwatch is darker and less happy for every passing moment without a Jetpack Cat in it.

Fingers crossed for “Just Woke Up” Pajama Mei.

Just put it behind an age wall or something. It clearly sells, but as long as it’s separated and doesn’t clog my steam storefront like visual novels commonly did, I can’t say it would really affect anyone who isn’t seeking it out.

OH right, I forgot about the voice of Sugilite. Oof.
