Incorrect.  Ant-man DNA would give you Paul Rudd’s anti-aging powers.

I came to say just about exactly this, but you said it better.

This is the best take. Liking things and appreciating things.

I know this story (and your comment) was a while ago now, but I still want to chime in and agree.  I loved this movie in the moment that I was watching it as a dumb teenager, but even twenty minutes after I had left the movie, I was cluing in to the racism (took me that extra time because dumb teenager).  I remember

I certainly found the first episode both pretty and dull.  My wife and son watched the first twenty minutes or so with me, then begged me to stop it.  I went back to it later, but only managed that episode.  I’ve been hearing from people who really liked it since then, so I’m really not sure how I’ll go on this one.

Wait, seriously? They did mystic powers right away?

I think the motto in the writing room must be “Less Asimov Every Year — More Lucas and Herbert.” Season three will probably have the emergence of mystic powers.

I kind of agree with you. Obi Wan should have been canonically long-lived. He and Anakin should have been struggling for at least a century against the decline of the golden age. They should have reached a point twenty years before when they thought things would be okay, and thus Anakin could have a child. Then? Bam!

Totally fair point.  I’m going to add that I always read with great interest what you post here.  Have a great weekend!

I think I remember you making this point here a few years ago, and I think it’s a good one.

I believe it’s coming down from the trees that has widely been regarded as a mistake.

Wait, how about, “True or false: If I were to ask the two machines to the left the same question ten times in a row, they would give different but consistent responses AND the one on the far left would be consistent with similar responses given by this machine.”

I’m pretty sure the best question must begin with an “If I were to ask you” kind of construction.  Is it permissible to include an “and” or an “or” in the question?

If you’re going to reference Kilroy so cleverly, Imma show a poem to go along. I don’t know if you know this one, but I love it.

I wouldn’t call it a bottle episode — that’s when they cheap out and use just the main set, no new props, and a limited subset of the cast. I’m not actually sure what the TVTropes term would be for this sort of side-quest. It’s not exactly a Lower Decks episode, and it’s kind of important to later continuity...

I definitely respect that point of view.  It showed us things we have not seen before, and told an interesting story.  For the amount that was invested in it, I didn’t find it connected enough to the main story of the season.  Still, it had some very good moments in it.

I’m genuinely confused about why people aren’t calling this the most Star Wars thing in years. I absolutely loved this episode! And an uneven season? I admit I was impatient at the Pershing episode, but there has been so much Star War fun in this season, I’m willing to let it go.

Still holding out for a Skylanders movie.  Don’t judge me; those were fun hours I spent with my kid before he moved on to games that were too hard for me.

Imma say it now: this one has to be about colonialism.

But we will talk about Mr. Teuber’s passing, and no doubt agree that he’s had a real effect on our lives.
