This show is the best star war I’ve seen in a long time. Rogue One was also a great star war. I actually liked each of the sequel trilogy movies, each of which was a good star war in its own rights.

Yeah, the dying on a hill metaphor has kinda died at the bottom of a hill. Like, these days, you say one single further support of your point of view and suddenly you’re the last joe on the ridge with a half-empty clip refusing to surrender as two Nazi platoons bear down on you.

The thing that the lower decks writers get is that nobody’s growth goes on a smooth arc. We’re always reverting, backsliding, whatever. I’ve been thinking this every time they throw shade on a season three episode.

Good to hear your fingerprint scanner is doing better. Mine on the 6A still isn’t. I’m thinking of deleting my fingerprints and trying again.
I think Pathfinder goes for “ancestry” and I find that one interesting, as the way I read it, it can imply that if you go back far enough, goblins and humans have common ancestors. I like that.
Tolkien was complex, no doubt. In terms of over racism, I don’t think you’ll find a lot. And, yes, I love that 1938 letter, and have quoted from it.
