I never want to go too far into someone else’s reading of something, but I think for Germain it might be that seeing it so young and so often may have blinded him as to the ideological underpinnings. I have talked to thirty-somethings who are genuinely surprised to find out that Aslan is Jesus. Then they go back and

I must admit I did not enjoy this movie. At the same time, I’m glad you and others did, and I’m definitely not one to tell others how to enjoy things.

I held off for a while in replying to you, because I didn’t want to be snarky to you. It was meant to be a really light snark in the first place, hopefully in the spirit of that wonderful book.  And for the record, I’m looking forward to season two.  Cheers.

Sorry, I guess my snark missed you? I read Good Omens thirty years ago and would have loved for there to be more books.  There were not. I note that they fixed the subhead now to go singular.

Thanks for this post. Just the opening strains of the theme music can make me feel so, so happy!

Yeah, your camera seems to be working fine.

I read a while ago that people are more likely to believe in conspiracy theories if they themselves would do that thing, given the opportunity. Like — you’re more likely to believe Bill Gates is injecting you with mind-control nanofuckers if you yourself would do that in his place. I think you’re totally right that

truth

I’m... blindly lashing out.

I came into the article thinking I wouldn’t like it, but in context I see the point being that nobody was bothered by the development because that’s just the way the show is, gonzo wild.
