Oh for sure - that’s a very concise way of putting it. I think they’ll need to start developing their products like a tech company does, as well as build out a much more expansive tech side that knows how to talk to enthusiasts. A marriage between the developers and the enthusiast engineers, as it were.

it sounds more like whatever memory space is allocated to track variables is overflowing and the software has no protections so it’s modifying memory it shouldn’t similar to those super mario world speedruns where you put an enemy into your spare item space which overwrites the memory next to it to teleport you to the
