Yes, at that stage the body really has very few defences left to fight off anything, anything like covid. If he had caught the flu at that point, it would have been the flu that killed him. Cancer destroyed his resistance, covid killed him.

I think people are mistaken in thinking his speech somehow started the war. We were going over there to kill people no matter. The UN speech was about how much public support is was going to have: PR. Acting as though he single-handedly, start a war is silly.
