Indeed on the post 9/11, I was just graduating college around then and it has really come to shape how I view stuff. I think my largely anti-military views come from that time period of having the war and hero worship stuff shoved down our throats.

It was great to see these four women standing in solidarity against Papaya Pol Pot, but you know what would have been better?

Just on a side note; in these four women I see the feminist movement finally paying off dividends. Their strength and moral clarity and focus is something beautiful to behold.

Whenever I despair about the direction this country is going; I can always take heart that our future looks like “the squad” of remarkable and eloquent women who won’t be cowed by Trump or anyone, including whatever pond scum succeeds Trump as the new head of the white nationalist republican party.

One of my many pet peeves is this whole arbitrary standard used as a way to minimize certain voices in this country, and this goes back in my adult life back to post-9/11 when those who did not support military action were being labeled un-American.

Great. Now let’s see how the media “reports” this press conference. Will they share the content and beautiful message / counter-message the Congresswomen shared? Not likely. They will probably distort the spirit of it and only choose to showcase portions of quotes that serve to rev-up the “battle” with Trump instead…

Trump is a complete ass and his followers are even worse. Nothing that any of The Squad say will penetrate the ear plugs each republican has individually installed.

The catch-22 is that, if these same monsters were dragged out of their offices and into the streets, begging in terror for their safety, then made an example of, they’d accuse you of being the fascist.
