The French president announced it.

They really don't though. Western airforces keep the best upgrades for themselves, and more importantly, the command and control tools to make the most of them. Witness Jordan's F-16's dropping dumb bombs on ISIS, and you don't see many (any?) middle east air forces with AWACS capability etc. Everyone wants to buy the

I like it. Didn't know about it, so thanks for the head's up. But there is NO WAY those trucks would hit the $25-35k price target and also do everything the postal service wants. Maybe Ford will license them the Transit Connect design and they can electrify that. I think this needs to be a ground up, clean sheet

I'm kinda hoping it galvanises the whole region against a common enemy, and that it will result in them realising that a lot shit beforehand kida paled in comparison, and they should realise that, hey, that guy in the city over in my country ain't so bad.

yes, but watch just a touch longer and you'll see he got around the road block.... it's racing (and annoying at times) to out hp someone, but be unable to out corner them (or vice-versa).

YES, YES, YES. I drive one for work, it just turned 250, 000kms and has not gave me a single problem. Other then its cheap build quality showing. It is a work van, not a Rolls Royce.

Politics aside, the Rafale jets might actually be preferable to whatever the Egyptians could buy from the U.S. or Russia. The Strike Eagle and the Su-30 are both big, thirsty jets, and the Eagle especially is based on a 30 year old design. The Egyptians aren't going to be offered the F-35, and even if they were, the

How about this one? It has a 3.6-litre Porsche flat-six pumping out 350 horses.

I think the drone might be a little short on the payload requirement.

Small things like the engine and the brakes and the steering and a few other bits. I know the Niva is far from the sedan, but still.

They should look at the used market and buy another Grumman vehicle.

Sorry Mate, but the Niva being based on the sedan(2101, which is based on the Fiat) is absolutely wrong. The Niva is entirely different and inhouse development. The only things they share with the sedans are some very small things like, door handles, headlights etc and the engine.

Can you link to your source showing that Egypt is ordering Rafales?

Regarding #1...me too.

IS is pissing off too many people. It's gonna come back and bite them if they aren't careful.

The most important question is: Can I get a used Rafale for the price of a fully loaded Camry?

1. On a serious note... man the whole North Africa - Middle East area is just such a complex set of problems. I wish I had some snarky solution to offer. You have Islamic extremism. Not far to the south, you have

I'm not sure you're on the right foot with the analysis here, Tyler. The reason you give for the Egyptians wanting to reduce their reliance on US support is precisely why they cannot significantly change their posture at this time. Yes, relations have worsened slightly, but not to the extent of any real breach.

That's the problem with democracy, it doesn't always give you the democracy you want.

No. Most people I know have at least a few vehicles, but there's a weird pull towards full sized trucks. Could be because there's more room for beer and bacon guts. ;)
